My favorite service to do that I offer! Placenta Encapsulation is the process of inspecting, cleaning, and preparing the birthing person's placenta after the birth of their baby; either raw or steamed. After preparing it is then dehydrated, ground up and the powder is placed into capsules for the parent to ingest. The possible benefits of placenta encapsulation include a decrease in postpartum mood disorders, increased production of oxytocin, a decrease in stress hormones, restoration of iron levels following bleeding after birth, and increased milk supply. I can also create a tincture $60 which is the process of letting raw or dehydrated placenta bits sit in a bath of 100 proof alcohol to extract and preserve benefits. They can also be beneficial for your teething baby of 6 months or older, your biological parent who is starting menopause, or if your baby(s) were born with a uterus they may use the tincture when they begin their menstrual cycle. We cannot guarantee any particular benefit or outcome from consumption, but utilizing your placenta postpartum may help with things like milk production, hormone and mood stabilization, pain relief, energy boost, iron restoration, growth of hair and nails, etc. Prior to paying you'll review and sign the contract so you can see the details of the whole process. Other ways to ingest your placenta, added in smoothies, can make Placenta Chocolate Truffles, Placenta Tincture(add-on service) made by infusing raw placenta and cord+sac is placed in alcohol- we use vodka or brandy. The preparation time is approximately six weeks, but I will give it to you when I drop off your placenta; you'll need to strain it yourself. Please advise me ahead of time if you want your placenta prepared a certain way(you'll specify in contract signing. This service includes a placenta print and a cord keepsake (you can opt-out for the keepsake and/or cord if you don't want it). I am able to do a preferred color if requested ahead of time, or choose to do the natural(raw) color; won't seal the print due to toxic fumes you can DIY if you'd like! I am able to form a spiral with the cord-keepsake or can do baby's first letter (best attempt lol!), or a heart. If I cannot encapsulate the placenta due to an infection during delivery, rupture, or if the placenta doesn't seem right to me or smell right; the parents get to take the placenta dried bits home in a planter so we can return the placenta back to the earth and the service is not wasted.
